Self-hosting your Virtual Escape Room

Hosting a Virtual Escape Room is straightforward! All you need is access to a video meeting application with breakout room and screen-share capability (we recommend Zoom). Schedule a 60 minute meeting and share the link with your group so everyone can sign in. Encourage everyone to join on a laptop or desktop computer. When everyone joins, share the game play URL we provided in the chat so everyone has access. Then, sort teams into breakout rooms with 4-6 people per room (if there is only one team, no need to open a breakout room). Each team needs to select a team leader who will share their screen so everyone on the team can collaborate. The game has a built-in hint system and a live leaderboard so everyone can track their progress vs the other teams in your event. After teams finish the game, encourage them to reconvene in the video meeting lobby to debrief!

Yes! We have an in-game hint system so you don't need to know the answers to host your own event.

As many as you want! You will pay per team (we recommend 4-6 people per team). Make sure your video application has breakout rooms enabled (we recommend Zoom) so each team can solve together without other teams hearing them! Our game has a live leaderboard so you can see who is winning!

If more teams end up playing than what you expected, we will bill you later for the additional teams ($10 per team). We are unfortunately not able to refund for teams that did not show.

Yes - although our games are designed for virtual breakout rooms, you can gather around one screen (or cast it to your TV) and solve together in-person. Just make sure each team has their own space so they don't cheat :)
